1-1 Work with Children

The list below isn’t an exhaustive list of the problems that can be dealt by NLP therapists but it gives you a good idea of the issues that we see on a regular basis. As parents we often hope that our children will “grow out of” their difficulties but the truth is that the problem often grows with the child. The longer we wait the bigger the problem is likely to get.
Anxiety:
  • Is your child often worried about things that seem small to you?
  • Do they get unexplained stomach aches, headaches or complain of feeling sick with no obvious physical cause?
  • Do they avoid situations that cause them to feel worried?
  • Do they have a phobia?
If your child lets worry overwhelm them please contact me to find out how NLP therapy can help.
Depression:
  • Has your child become quiet and withdrawn?
  • Do they shut themselves away?
  • Have they stopped enjoying things they used to love?
  • Are they often tearful but not able to explain what is making them sad?

If you are worried about our child’s mood please contact me to find out more about how NLP therapy can help.

Self Esteem and Social Difficulties:
  • Does your child struggle to make and keep friends?
  • Do they find it difficult to see the good in themselves and seem fixated on negatives?

If you feel that a lack of confidence or problems with social understanding are holding your child back contact me to find out more about how NLP therapy can help.

Anger and Behavioural Problems:
  • Is your child angry and prone to explosions over issues that seem minor to you?
  • Do they seem to struggle to cope with their feelings in a positive way?
  • Do you have other worries about their behaviour that you are struggling to know how to deal with?

If your child’s behaviour is impacting on family life or you feel that you are walking on eggshells and you don’t know where the next explosion is coming from please contact me to find out more about how NLP therapy can help.

School Problems:
  • Is your child struggling with anxieties about certain aspects of the school day?
  • Are they refusing to attend school regularly?
  • Are they experiencing high levels for exam stress or excessively worried about school tests such as SATS?
  • Are they very anxious about an upcoming school transition?

If you feel that your child’s worries about school are affecting their learning and achievement please contact me to find out more about how NLP therapy can help.

I work with children in my offices in Gosforth, Newcastle. I am also happy to undertake sessions in school in the wider Newcastle area subject to agreement from the school.
